Kristen Stewart. Om “Twilight”  hysterin, hennes önskan att besöka främmande länder, och varför hon ska lära sig arabiska inom en snar framtid.

Intervjuaren: Du är en förebild för en hel generation. Hur hanterar du all hysteria om dig?

Stewart: Tjejer min ålder identifierar sig med Bella, det är självklart. Men det har inget att göra med mig. Dessa tjejer älskar Bella så mycket att de projicerar det på mig. Jag är en ganska blyg person. All denna hype och eufori är inte om mig, men om den personen jag representerar i filmen. Jag vill skulle vilja klara upp det: Hallå, Jag är ingen sorts halvgud. Jag älskar Twilight lika mycket som ni gör. Jag hade bara tur att få rollen. Jag förväntas att vara bättre än fansen men det är jag inte.

Intervjuaren: De älskar dig också som person, din undervärdering och att du jordnära.

Stewart: Folk hatar mig också för det.

Intervjuaren: I American Girl så spelar du en soldat i träning. Regissören förutspår en Oscar för dig. Kommer du lära dig att prata Arabiska? Är du intresserad i politik?

Stewart: Ja, Jag är väldigt intresserad i det. Men i den här storyn ligger fokus på en familj. En tjej och vad hon tycker om hennes land. Det har inget att göra med vad hennes hemland gör. Det är en tragisk berättelse. En tjej utan några alternativ går med soldaterna och tillslut hamnar i Afghanistan. Och det är också om hur hon hanterar det här när hon kommer tillbaka. Om de faktiskt ska göra projektet så skulle jag älska att lära mig arabiska.

Intervjuaren: Du är också del av Kerouacs klassiker On the Road?

Stewart. Ja, självklart för det var min första favorit bok. En bra inspiration. Efter 25 år så ska de gör den och jag är del av det!! Jag är jätte tursam!

Intervjuaren: Är resandet en inspiration för dig?

Stewart: Det är det som är coolt med dessa speciella omständigheterna. Vi reser mycket. Å ena sidan älskar jag att resa, å andra sidan måste jag nästan tvinga mig att göra det. Kanske det är typiskt för Amerikanare eftersom vi är inte exakt kända som globetrotters. Jag är ett kontroll freak och jag måste alltid veta vad som händer. Jag tror backpacking skulle vara terapeutiskt för mig.

Intervjuaren: Pattinson sa att han skulle älska att se en hardcore version av Twilight för bara vuxna.

Stewart: Han skämtade bara. Jag i alla fall, skulle inte göra en porr version av Twilight.

Intervjuaren: I Eclipse så är det en fantastisk kyss scen med Taylor som Jacob. Tog det lång tid att filma det?

Stewart: Det tog en hel dag. Jag bara tänkte: Oh gud det här måste vara bra.

Intervjuaren: Är kvinnor som Jodie Foster förebilder för dig?

Stewart: Jodie Foster är bra. Jag kan inte ens förklara hur viktig hon var för mig. Jag tycker det är imponerande i allmänhet av kvinnor att äga en film. Eftersom de flesta människor vill bara se historier om män.

Q: What made you say yes to Remember Me; you are in the position to say yes or no to a director to choose which movie you want to be in or which movie you don't want to be in?

A: Kind of. You get certain offers and stuff, but with this, it was before Twilight came out, and I read the script and I wanted to do another job before Twilight came out. I didn't end up doing one, but that was one of the things I read. So with this, usually every single young guy who is a lead is often such a stock character. But Tyler wasn't really coming from an obvious place and wasn't ending up in an obvious place either, so it gave you much more to work with, and it could be more of a character piece. There are certain things about generic films where you have to do certain things and perform in a certain way, and it doesn't really make sense. I think that's why this is kind of a little bit weird in that respect, it doesn't really fit what you'd expect from this kind of drama.

Q: With Remember Me, were there certain aspects of the character you could empathize with? He's a guy who likes to do his own thing…

A: Yeah, in a lot of ways, I saw right from the beginning that he was quite similar to me, and I kind of tried to tailor it to be even more similar, but then the more I tailored it, the more it became a fictional creation. But yeah, I've been saying there's a kind of moment where, I think it's the end of the adolescent period, where you think that you have to be an individual so much and you want to stamp your identity on everything. I mean, you get to your early 20s and you are much more accepting of being part of the world, and not wanting to drive everything away from you all the time, and I kind of had that when I was in my early 20s.

Q: Would you ever stand up for yourself to the point where you are going to fight with authority, like the character?

A: I know, that's what one of the main things I liked about it; there are certain things which are like fantasy scenes of mine. It was quite satisfying, even the way he fights. It was all in the script, it said he fights like a pitbull, and I was just like, 'Yeah, I want to fight like a pitbull!'

Q: Were you at all intimidated by Pierce Brosnan in real life?

A: I went to meet him for dinner just before we started shooting, and he's a really nice guy. He's kind of suave and he does look exactly the same all the time. He has great posture. He does this funny thing when we're out at a restaurant and there are people looking over at him, and it's a kind of posh French restaurant so there are a lot of older, banker type looking people and they obviously had no idea who I was, and they were obviously just looking at him and making a little joke or whatever, and he goes up to their table and introduces himself to everybody at that table, and you can see that they all really like him - I don't know what he said. He was introducing me as his son to people. (laughter)

Q: Did this role feel very different from the other roles that you have played?

A: Yeah, definitely, there's certain things about it; you can improvise quite a lot more, especially in comparison to the Twilight films. The whole point of the Twilight films is that there are so many hindrances as to what you can do, whereas with Tyler, it's kind of, it's the first time I played somebody who is just the kind of normal guy, without anything fancy, or without a period element, or without some kind of social inadequacy. He is literally just a normal guy, with no specific handicaps, and it was fun.

Q: How did you regard Tyler's relationship with Caroline; they kind of need each other, don't they?

A: Yeah, but it's like, at the same time, she's the kind of key or something. It's not like they're going to meet up and everything changes in their lives or whatever. It's not saying people's lives completely change, just having a couple of days of happiness, or a couple of minutes of happiness, can literally turn around your entire life, and you just have to be aware of it, you just have to make them sort of see things just a little bit more.

Q: When will you shoot the last Twilight movie?

A: I think I'm going to have to do "Breaking Dawn" at the end of this year, so I'm not sure when.

Q: What's your best disguise in order to be able to walk down Oxford Street?

A: Biting your nails works quite well! Actually, I was in HMV on Oxford Street on Christmas Eve buying Christmas presents, and not a single person noticed. And here were posters [Twilight and New Moon] everywhere! It's been years since I've done anything like that, and I think people just aren't looking in the same way in London.

Q: How do you deal with fame?

A: I just try to keep working. Even ten years ago, Leonardo DiCaprio always talked about being able to take a break away from everything, but I don't think you can do that anymore. I think you need to capitalize and steer your career at the same time, because I think that, especially with a thing like Twilight, where it is literally such a huge universe…

Q: Is it a burden to you, but it opens doors?

A: It opens doors and it closes others, like anything does. You can say, 'Oh if I was still unknown, then no one would judge me', but at the same time, nobody would give a shit either (laughter). It's a weird little balance. And most of the time, you are just completely guessing what you should do, so I guess I'm just doing scripts that I think are good.

Q: Did the Twilight fans make shooting Remember Me in New York quite difficult?

A: The fan situation, completely, honestly, they were lovely. They would completely respond to people saying - "Please go and wait over there or something", even when there were tons and tons of them, but it was like the paparazzi who were unbelievable. They were like jackals.

Q: You said that you never asked a girl on a date like Tyler does. Is that more difficult now you're famous?

A: Yeah, I would imagine. I'm much more self conscious now because you can't afford to like fail. You're kind of afraid of succeeding too so you just kind of, you know, anyway you look at it…

Q: In what ways has this success changed things for you?

A: It changed more in America. I always thought it was going to be like this. I came out last Christmas and it was kind of… it was all pretty low key again and I always thought it would've changed by now in London but it hasn't really. People just don't look for the same stuff, but in America, I guess it is different.

Robert Pattinson was like a big brother to his Remember Me co-star Ruby Jerins, she has revealed.

The 11-year-old plays the Twilight star’s younger sister in the tear-jerker, and said their on-screen chemistry was just as real once the cameras were switched off.

“He’s really fun and very funny, he was like a bigger brother except he wasn’t mean – sometimes big brothers can be mean,” she said. “He is very supportive and respectable, and easy to act with. I really admired his work from the beginning, and he was really nice to everybody.”The actress added: “It is extremely easy to bond with him. When we first met at the screen test, he suggested we should hang out a little and build chemistry but we never got to – it wasn’t really necessary because we did a lot of waiting around on set, so we got to know each other then and goofed around.”

Ruby – a Twilight fan – was amazed by the constant presence of fans and paparazzi around the Remember Me set in New York.

“It was crazy. From the time when we woke up, all these fans and paparazzi would already have surrounded the set. They were all over every scene. It was definitely a new experience for me,” she recalled.

Being mobbed every time you leave the house is all in a day's work for Robert Pattinson.

But for Tate Ellington, who played Robert Pattinson's on-screen best friend in Remember Me, thousands of screaming fans following you down the street is one helluva terrifying experience.

OK.co.uk's Nicola McCafferty spent an evening chatting with Tate, the self-effacing actor who starred as Aidan Hall, about what life is like for the Twilight hunk; how tricky it is working with him and how they escaped the hysteria...

What was it like working with Rob on Remember Me, did you guys strike up an instant rapport?
"Yeah I think so [I hope so]! I met Rob at the screen test and luckily I wasn't too nervous that day as I was like I probably won't get the job so...
"But when I got the job and I met him again, he was automatically as nice as can be and I had to make a point to be more talkative as I can be really shy, and Rob had a bit of shyness too.
"I was happy he wasn't like this big jerk coming into the room and he was utterly always so humble and nice about everything."

You played Rob's best friend in the movie, did you guys spend time getting to know each other in preparation?
"After I got the job we had a couple of times where we would go to the hotel where he was staying and get to know each other.
"We sat around and had a beer and just chatted - it was good.
"I felt very comfortable with him from the get go. And I met Emilie de Ravin not long after, and automatically we were all jerking around!"

You had just finished a stint on Broadway with actor Matthew Broderick when you got the Remember Me job. Were you used to working with big Hollywood stars by the time you met the cast?
"Oh yeah! I was pretty terrified! Initially I was really excited when I found out who was gonna be in it but everybody was so nice...there was never any reason to be intimidated."

Were you a Twilight fan before you started working on this movie?
"I was not... I actually made a point not to watch Twilight [when I got the role], but a girl I was dating at the time was an insane fan about it.
"She explained to me all four books, I was like that sounds great I might read that at some point! She was also a Harry Potter fan and got me hooked on it and when I heard Rob was in it, I was like Oh Cedric Diggory! Oh no wait, Twilight... [laughs]
"I watched Twilight not too long after we finished shooting and I kinda expected it to be a bit girly but it was good - I was like, way to go Rob!"
"At some point I have to watch New Moon - I still haven't seen it. But it feels weird now - you're like watching a friend.

Rob quite famously got mobbed by dozens of fans on the New York set... What was that like?
"It was like a running joke [when Rob got mobbed on-set.]
"The producers sort of prepped me, they were like this sort of thing might be happening and I got there the first day and exactly that happened and I was like woah, you weren't kidding!
"We had to figure out how we were gonna get round it. It was tricky."

How did Rob cope with all the attention?
"He was so great, I dunno if i could do that everyday, the guy can't even walk down the street - that would probably throw me.
"But it was hilarious 'cos everyday you knew exactly when Rob was gonna show up on set, you'd just hear the screams and you'd be like - oh Rob's coming!
"We always got a kick of that. The crew handled it really amazingly.
"You just kinda got used to it and it was nice - everyday there was just a lot of people there to say hello!"

Did he get a bit freaked out the time?
"Rob was initially a bit... New York is quite an enclosed space but he figured it out.
"[But] he was always so nice to all the fans.
"It was always overnight for him. I think he's really settling into it now. I think he's done a great job with it.
"i dunno if I could cope with it... It would freak me out."

How would you describe your character, Aidan, in the film?
"He's a complete jerk and anyone would punch this guy in the face, but regardless of all the things he says and does he has the best intentions.

What drew you to the role?
"When I read the script I was like, I want this guy to show through in the moments where he can.
"He has a big heart and he feels things for this people. Tyler is like his adopted family and he's always trying to look out for his friend.
"He's the kinda guy you can call whenever you're in any sort of trouble and he'll be there in a heartbeat."

Interview Translation (because it’s a translation, some words might sound ‘odd’ :

Kristen Stewart wears jeans, a black and white squared shirt and a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses in her hair when she arrives to the interview in the four seasons hotel in Beverly Hills. Shooting Eclipse, which is in theaters since 15th July, she was wearing brown contacts but in real life her green eyes sparkle in the afternoon sun which is shining through the window of the suite on the 12th floor. But looking deep in Kristen Stewart’s eyes is very rare because her eyes are mostly directed to the floor or her hands. The actress who plays the lovesick Bella is enjoying the confusion about her person not so much. In our interview she is saying why.

Does the fame scare you?
I’m still not familiar with being in the spotlight. Screaming fans make me nervous. I could pass on that attention. I’m very, very shy by nature.

Do you have to dig yourself in the hotel because the fans siege the building?
No, it’s not that crazy. I’m reading a lot of stories about me. If they all were true I would have a horrible life (laughs).

Some fans are annoyed because you were criticizing the “Twilight-hysteria” on the Internet.
I don’t understand why people spend their time on forums or facebook and don’t even post something meaningful. For me there are more important things than spending hours on the computer. I love to read a book, listen to Led Zepelin, U2, play guitar or watch a play. And instead of chatting I meet my friends in person.

Such as Robert Pattinson?
Such as.

Why do you still make a secret out of your relationship?
I don’t make a secret out of it. I just don’t talk about certain subjects because most of it is interpreted wrong.

Do you read articles about yourself?
Yes, most of it is amusing. And I have to know what crime I just committed because it is guaranteed that I will be asked about it in the next interview (laughs).

What do you think about the comparison you are going to be the new Angelina Jolie?
Who comes up with that? But I don’t complain. She is a great actress and looks beautiful.

You are a role model for many girls. Also fashionable. Do you like it?
I’m not an expert. I have my own style. I buy vintage and wear old rag and funky t-shirts. I only wear things which I really love. That’s why I don’t like stylists. I want to be as authentic as possible and I don’t care about the labels on the t-shirts.

You’ve been chosen to be one of the 100 influential people in the world. How do you take it?
As long as nobody writes that I’m one of the 100 worst people I don’t care. The positive thing is that I’m now more perceived as an actress. I get better offers for a role and can choose instead of taking all.

Are you scared of falling back when the Twilight-Saga is over?
All actors have that problem when they played a role for a longer time. There are two sites. On the one hand it is a huge compliment that I get when a Twilight fan always sees Bella in me. On the other hand is that I did different projects during Twilight as well.

For someone who dropped out of school you are pretty successful. Why did you quit school?
Because of the acting I had no time for it anymore. From the 8th grade on I had a private teacher. But I didn’t miss school for one second. It was horrible and I hated sitting still in class. I’ve always been rebellious and needed my freedom. I was really relieved when I could study at home. Studying was fun. I’m interested in many things, for example writing. But school was never the right place for me.

What would you advise to young people who are interested in acting?
If that’s it what you really want you have to try. Otherwise you would regret it and that would be sad.

If you wouldn’t have become an actress. What would you do today?
Writing scripts. If that wouldn’t work out I could imagine working as a property master, too.

Inspire har intervjuat Kirsten Prout som spelar Lucy (en av vampyrerna som är med Maria) i The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. I intervjun så pratar hon bland annat om The Twilight Saga… rättare sagt om Eclipse och Jackson Rathbone (Jasper).

INSPIRE: You’ve been in numerous television series (including Kyle XY) already. How was it different stepping into a movie (Eclipse), especially one so popular worldwide?

KIRSTEN: It was definitely intimidating stepping onto a set with an established cast, all of whom are tremendously talented. On our show (Kyle XY) we had such a dynamic, so I knew what I was in for as the new kid. That being said, everyone was so welcoming and it was an absolute pleasure working on Eclipse.

I: Did you have to contemplate on the idea of being in the third installment of the series? Have you read the books?
K: To be completely honest, I wasn’t used to the idea of such a small character, but when I saw that it was for Eclipse, I realized it was such a tremendous opportunity and just being involved is enough. It has really opened doors for me and I am so grateful for the experience.

SELF: How is Bella’s look in Eclipse different from in New Moon?
Tish Monaghan: Well, it’s funny because the movies come out a year apart, but onscreen, only a week has passed. With Bella [Kristen Stewart], she’s a little more settled in public and in her relationship with Edward. And so, at the beginning, I wanted to show a little bit more of a relation to the Cullens’ colors, a cool palate, and steer away from the warm earth tones that were more evident in New Moon.

There are quite a few romantic scenes, so I wanted to show a softer side of Bella without going too girly or feminine, because that’s just not at the heart of who she is. She’s a very practical person, so I tried to soften her up a bit with color. We open up with her wearing one of her signature plaid shirts, but it’s in a softer, lilac fabric and looks very pretty in a field of flowers. We tried to retain the integrity of her character, but just lighten her up a little.

Ashley Greene: Har precis avslutat filmprojekten Skateland, Radio Free Albemuth men ör nu i full gång med ett nytt vilket är filmen LOL: Laughing Out Loud. Andra filmer som hon ska vara med i är Butter, Warrior tillsammans med Kellan Lutz och The Apparition. 

Nikki Reed: Avslutade för ett tag sedan projekten Chain Letter och Privileged och verkar nu ha det lite lungt tills Breaking Dawn.

Jackson Rathbone: Just nu aktuell i The Last Airbender och har avlutat filmprojektet Girlfriend. Kommande är filmen DaZe: Vol. Too (sic) - NonSeNse och det ryktas också om att han ska få en roll i filmen Truckstop.

Kellan Lutz: har precis avslutat Meskada och A Nightmare on Elm Street men har mycket på gång bland annat Immortals, Warrior med Ashley Greene, The Killing Game  och Love, Wedding, Marriage.

I: One of the most waited scene of Eclipse is the kiss between Bella and Jacob. In the last chapter there was another kiss between Bella and Edward, which won for Best kiss and the Mtv Movie Awards 2009. How do you feel about this?
K:They’re completely different kisses. The one with Edward is like the end of the maturation path of their relationship, a kiss that goes beyond the daze at the beginning, that puts at stake something stronger (since Edward is played by Pattinson, this comment sounds more like autobiographical than cinematic; Ed)
With Jacob is different. He kisses him because she doesn’t want to lose him, it’s a sort of manipulation. But in that moment she understands something she had never realized before, that is he has lots to give her. So you realize that staying with Edward is a choice, not a need.

I: How did it go on set between you guys? Any embarrassment?
K: No. Rob is a good friend, we basically grow up together. And that’s the same with Taylor. This is why we worked really good: you can’t lie with a friend, this is very important when you act.

I: How much do you look like your character?
K: Even if I play her, I don’t think we’re similar physically. We have different eyes and different hair. But I feel linked to Bella because I played her for so much time and also because there’s something very visceral in Meyer’s description which dragged me into her world.

I: In which aspects do you identify with her?
K:I feel like her. Bella is “weird”, in the symbolic sense of the word, but she’s happy with it. She’s always herself.

I: Don’t you think that a woman like her, as a symbol of the romantic hero, is not so topical today?
K: No, I don’t. Because I don’t think Edward Is a hero, and this is what they like about the story. Bella is just a girl in love with a guy she thinks is perfect, the ideal man. It’s normal, it happens to everybody when we fall in love. (she smiles. Her thought seems to be more about her boyfriend Robert than the vampire Edward; Ed)

I: But the Twilight world talks about powers and characters not so normal. What do you think about the supernatural?
K: I always liked the myth. I was intrigued by the fact that old stories could live for so long and that civilizations far from each other could have the same legends. But I don’t believe in the supernatural. I believe people are strange and and between human being there are more deep and complex links than what we're used to think.

I: I know that the huge fame this character gave you, is giving you some relations problems.
K: Yeah, I actually developed a crazy fear for the crowds, many people together can be dangerous. But there’s something more. When I go somewhere I see people start to elbow and whisper, they have an idea of me, they know me. I realized I won’t ever be a normal girl and go unnoticed again. And this is scares me.







- According to what we’ve heard you were so hilarous on set that Taylor Lautner says you always had to reshoot because of your jokes.
Not really, I’m not funny at all (laughs), he is just kidding. These rumors are spread so that I won’t look too grumpy in interviews (laughs louder).

- But isn’t it like a caricature that you are a romantic vampire and that Taylor is a muscular werewolf? You should be laughing about this a lot when cameras are off.
Yes, it is in fact funny but what’s funnier is that actually I have to be as muscular as he is (laughs). I can’t go to the gym, what can I do. -What makes this new movie enjoyable for you?
I think the increase in the number of actors. In the first two movies there were only two couples and no more. This time cast is expanding and everybody has an important part in the story. This means a large cast with small roles. Also in this movie there are grandiose fight scenes as opposed to the first two movies. And this is a different stand for a Twilight movie.

- What is your most favorite scene in this movie?
There is a scene where Bella kisses Jacob. She comes back to ask forgiveness and Edward acts very understanding about this. I think this is a very nice moment. This is the only scene in the whole series that I can identify with Edward. I don’t think there are many guys who can do this and for me this scene is a sign that he is a good guy.

- But it’s hard to watch another guy kiss and hug the girl you love, isn’t it?
Yes but thinking that he always was right… (missing sentences)…. promises that he will do everything as she likes it. This is one of the main themes of Eclipse. Edward tells her that he will never push her again and he stands behind this promise. There is nothing for him to do but wait to see if Bella will come back to him or not.

-What makes this new movie enjoyable for you?

- Do you believe in pre-marital sex?
I think in that era everyone had sex (laughs loudly), and they were covering it. Few people stick to the rule of not having sex before marriage. The idea that a woman should wander always with his man is ridiculous. I don’t like that men and women act insincerely just to show off or to look decent. If you are a real gentleman, you act like a gentleman anyhow. But if you are doing this just because of rules, there is something wrong with it.

- You said “It achieves to be sexy without sex” for the movie. Do you think this is important in a relationship?
That sentence was an answer to an argument. There was a claim that “the movie is supposed to be sexy but they never have sex.” I said “Why is it supposed to be sexy?” Also when it comes to those moments filled with expectation, there is a certain sexiness and that’s why Twilight is a movie with so many fans. Everybody loves that moment where you see if someone’s love for you is strong enough or not. Fear of sex makes the movie more attractive. If both sides haven’t had sex before this fear is doubled and there are four books written about it, thick books too. I think people like to stay at that moment for a long time.

- Is there anything you kept in mind while playing this character? What do you think about Edward?
Not much, because everything develops naturally. He is someone who hates himself, thinks he is not good enough for anything and does not think he has a right to live. All his lines, all his movements reflect this. So you have to stop thinking and act what is written. But as the series move forward things get easier for Edward and you have to look back and be happy for him. Edward is an anti-hero while at the same time a super hero who doesn’t accept that he is. …(missing sentences)… He always wants to stay modest and doesn’t want the world to know that he is different because he hates himself.

Musician at the same time!

- How did it feel like hearing the song you made for the movie while watching it?
This may sound weird to you but I watched the Twilight series from beginning to end for the first time just last week. They aired it on television. While watching the movie I thought how come I accepted to have my song in the movie. Back then I didn’t think this series would be this popular. If I had known that it was going to be this huge, I would worry about it and would not accept to put it in the soundtrack. If I hadn’t done it before and if they asked me to do it now I would never accept it. Director Catherine Hardwicke has used the song in such a key scene that in a way I’m happy that it made the soundtrack, especially when I think about the circumstances under which the song was written… Two of my friends were staying with me in my apartment in London and they wrote the lyrics randomly while playing a game that we didn’t even think it would become a song. After six months I found the lyrics they wrote, I liked it and suddenly it made the soundtrack!

- You mean acting is your profession but music is your private life. Because we haven’t seen much about your musical side.
You can’t act just because you enjoy it (laughs). Acting is not something like that…

- Do you keep your music hidden just because you want to keep it to yourself or are you afraid of people’s reactions?
Yes, because I don’t know if I can deal with the criticism about my music. I like making music and if I release an album now, a lot of people who hate popular things can go too far and say awful things about me.

- Does negative criticism about your music effects you more than negative criticism about your acting?
Yes, because when it comes to acting I’m at a place where I have to deal with this kind of stuff. But when it comes to music, I don’t want to get up and say “Come on, tell me what you think about it”. I don’t care what anybody thinks because I’m not trying to sell my music, and I don’t need to sell my music, so it’s pointless. I’m playing for my friends and for myself all the time. There are certain people I want to get feedback from but you see how people react to most of the things, they are ready to criticize everything.

- Your new movie is still being shot. Do you request three hour breaks when you want to watch the World Cup games?
No, I record them. Also I requested that there be a TV behind every interviewer I meet with but they didn’t accept it (laughs loudly).

- Do you know where you will be on the day of the final game of World Cup, on July 11th?
I’m still here. I hope some of my friends will come visit. But I work everyday, it’s a little boring.

- You are so busy… what is the definition of the perfect day for you?
I don’t know. Sometimes I find myself in such weird environments because of my job… I’m shooting a movie in a desert in Los Angeles and I work in a circus! There are animals and many interesting stuff, every day is a different unbelievable day. A few days ago they brought a 1920’s train that runs with steam and it was such a long train. A scene was being shot in which there were 300 extras. It was the scene where they built the circus tent and really that many people built the tent! Everybody was dressed in 1930’s style and since we were in the desert there was nothing that belonged to the modern world. I stopped and looked around, I was watching elephants, tigers and a steam train. Even if it’s purely fiction, the fact that everything is happening in front of you makes it very real and it’s an incredible experience. I can do such a thing everyday and not consider it as a job.

- You work with Reese Witherspoon in Water for Elephants. Did you start shooting your shared scenes?
Yes, we shot our first scene. In the past we acted in Vanity Fair together. I was her son in that movie, and now we’re acting as two lovers (laughs).

- Did Reese Witherspoon’s children want to meet you?
I don’t know if they did but I met them a few days ago. They looked comfortable…

- What about Uma Thurman with whom you acted together in Bel Ami?
I think her daughter is a fan of the movie. She came by with a friend and they asked for autographs.

- What about Uma?
She is really a wonderful, funny and strong person. By strong, I mean physically strong. In the movie I’m playing a man with leadership spirit and she is playing my wife. There was this scene where I made her subdue …(missing sentences)…

- (missing sentences)… Do you read what is written about you in the media?
I just want to be ready if I have to answer to what is written. I don’t do interviews much, I do it mainly when there is a movie promotion. I rarely go outside, so most of the stuff that is written about me is made up.

- How is it working with Kristen Stewart? Is it easier compared to before or is it harder?
Some things are easier now. One of the most important things about Kristen is that she is a very good actress. You can’t just stand and act when acting with her, you have to be good at this too, which is actually a good thing. It is not possible to relax and rest while working with her. The first two movies we shot were more stressing because we constantly repeated scenes. None of us are a 60 year old actor who has been acting for years but we are pretty proud. Especially Kristen, she is a very serious actor and always aims for the best.

- Do you think you look out for each other? For example, do you share your thoughts when you think a scene could be acted better?
I’m a diferent person while acting and a different one while dealing with movie promotions. I don’t get those people who think movie promotions are very serious stuff. We’ve reached the third movie and people will watch anything with Twilight in title anyway and I have nothing left to say about this. But yes, Kristen likes speaking for me and this can be annoying (laughs loudly).

- Does she want to repeat the scenes often?
Yes, she looks at the director and says let’s shoot again but this doesn’t happen so often.
