Här får vi reda på varför Stephenie döpte Edward till Edward och Bella till Bella och annat kul.

Edward Cullen
Medan jag försökte hitta ett namn för den käcka "veggie" vampyren, författaren Stephenie Meyer sökte efter ett traditionellt och romantiskt. 

Edward var ett perfekt val eftersom namnet tillhörde två stora romantiska bok hjältar, Mr Rochester i Charlotte Brontës Jane Eyre and Mr Ferraris in Jane Austen's Sence And Sensibillity. 

Isabella Swan
Efter att Steph hade slutfört skrivandet om Bellas resa, hon kände att hon älskade henne ungefär som en dotter.

Så när tiden kom till namnet på huvudpersonen, som kunde passa in för namnet hon sparat till hennes blivande dotter så fick det bli Isabella.

The Volturi
‘Volturi' är det latinska ordet för gam, underprissättning fågel som livnär sig på ruttnande kött. Namnet är perfekt för de med hög makt som Volturi klanen som, inte gillas utav Cullen klanen, livnär sig på människors blod,
samt tillsyn över de vampyr världen från sin bas i Volterra, Italien.

Cullen Klanen
Är gjord för Carlisle och Esme Cullen och deras fem adoptivbarn, Cul len klanen bär en skrämmande likhet med Stephenie egen familj. 

Växte upp i Arizona med fem syskon, har Stephenie medgett att hon själv blev hånad för hennes bleka hy.

Kanske åtsittande-sticka, var blek och ändå slående vacker så som Cullen familjen. Stephs sätt att svara till dessa barn, och Bella, den bleka flickan från Arizona, en återspegling av henne själv.

Varför varulvarna präglas
När en varulv präglas på deras själsfrände, är de två sammanlänkade genom kärlek och kommer att skydda varandra från allting.

Stephenie har förklarat att hennes inspiration med präglingen fick hon från beteendet av ankungar. En ny född ankunge, fastnar väldigt fort till den första den ser, de bildas som ett band och den här saken/personen blir deras mamma.

Edward's glittrande
Stephenie var inspirerad att skriva Twilight efter drömmande om en man som var "Fantastiskt, vacker, glittrande och vampyr". 

Den här ovanliga idé, eftersom i de förra legenderna brann vampyrerna upp i solen. Stephenie bestämde att den glittrade huden skulle få människor att dras till dem, så de sedan kunde döda dem.

Förutom detta har hon förklarat att mousserande vampyr hudceller är hårda och reflekterande som kristall och därför okrossbar och skyddande.

Robert Pattinson, The Twilight Saga (2008-)

Hard to credit, perhaps, but Stephenie Meyer’s blockbusting gothic romances have made R-Patz the most successful screen vampire of all time, outselling previous title holders Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in the Anne Rice adaptation Interview With the Vampire. Hardened horror aficionados may balk, but hordes of Twi-hard fans have swooned to Edward Cullen’s otherworldly charms, marvelling at the way his skin glitters in the sunlight, and dreaming of dying (and being reborn) in his sensitively pallid arms. Chastity never seemed so attractive.

No guessing about who's coming to dinner.
Peter Facinelli: "Doesn't everyone have someone like Edward in their family that seems to be in a problematical relationship? You're like, 'I really wish they weren't dating that person,' but because you love them you just smile and say, 'Welcome to the family.' I think love makes you do some pretty crazy things like even giving your life up for all eternity." 
 
Nikki Reed: "I mean, ask my brother how many girls he's tried to date and how many have lasted after the family met them. I grew up very fast and I moved out very young, so when I've been in serious relationships, it was somehow much easier to bring a guy home to meet my family."
 
Keeping love off the menu.
Peter Facinelli: "Edward shouldn't really play with his food though. Romancing Bella is like falling in love with your mashed potatoes. Our family is living on a really strict bloodless diet, and when you're on a diet you get cranky sometimes. I've always said, 'Why don't the Cullens have a petting farm, like a little zoo in the backyard, so if we want like a snack, we just go and grab a squirrel. It would be like having a candy bar or something." 

Fighting for Bella and Edward.
Peter Facinelli: "We trained for six weeks to take on the 'newborns' who are the bad vampires. We all loved the action stuff. My daughter came down and was watching one of the scenes. After we filmed it, I let her try. It was awesome. This 12-year-old girl was throwing this stunt guy across the room. That's how good those guys make us look." 
 

The biggest fan magnet.
Kellan Lutz: "We've all stayed so down to earth, and it's just funny to see life change for the people around us, especially Rob. It's like when a fan lunges at him and you only see one bodyguard around, and then ten more jump out of the crowd where they've been hiding. God, it's crazy to think about needing a bodyguard. But Rob can't take any chances. He's a heartthrob, but he's also a great guy and we all love him because he hasn't changed as a person." 
 

A strange Twi-hard encounter.
Kellan Lutz: "When we were filming in Oregon I was in my hotel room and there was a knock on the door. I thought it was my castmates because we were all going out to get some dinner. I had just gotten out of the shower and I grabbed a towel. Thank God I didn't just throw open the door because I was practically naked. I heard voices going, 'Emmett, we're your fans' and I could tell they were near tears. So I put some clothes on as fast as I could, opened the door and it was two lovely ladies holding a giant basket full of goodies for all of us."
 
It's all between the covers.
Ashley Greene: "I remember I read the first book in a day and a half and fell in love with it, and went right on to read the second and third. That's when I understood why people are so totally into the story. I remember when I finally got cast, I was so ecstatic that I just burst into tears. I didn't realize it was going to be such a huge deal until we started filming in Portland and my mom was like 'Do you have a fan site yet?' I was like, 'People don't know who I am.' Now, everywhere there are screaming fans."
 
Who's your daddy?
Peter Facinelli: "I am in charge. We spent a lot of time together in rehearsals, a lot of time helping each other out. I think there's a bond there because we all respected each other as actors. When I see them, they put a smile on my face. I have a profound love, like a family love, for all of the Cullens and for Bella and for Jacob. I just want to go over and give them a hug. I enjoy them. We did things together like they'd come over and play poker at the end of a day of filming."

Here´s an analysis about the poster evoulution from New Moon and Eclipse:

After a pretty exciting bout of eclipse posters being released, i begun comparing them with the new moon versions (obviously once i'd stopped staring at Edward's jaw line...) and found some pretty interesting differences. I think it's only obvious how very different these films are going to be when you can see them side by side.

So, taking the first comparison, between the two Cullen poster. In the new moon one, Bella is included, showing that she is a Cullen, or soon will be. Whereas in the eclipse poster, she's not present. I did think this was weird at first.. Edward is absent during the majority of new moon, so why would Bella be included as one of the family when they have left her? But then i considered that in new moon, there was no choice for Bella - it was always Edward. However in eclipse, she discovers that she loves Jacob too. However she is not featured in the wolf poster either. She was, however, featured in a poster alone. I don't know about you, but to me this symbolizes that she is going to have to make the choice alone, without Edward (or Jacob) by her side.

Another thing to notice was the coloring. New moon was so rich and vibrant to look at, whereas i think eclipse has gone back to the way twilight was - very, very blue.

Then, if we look at the placings of the Cullens, we can see that Carlisle and Esme are still far off in the distance - further away than they were in new moon. However Emmett has come forward, and Rosalie seems to have taken Alice's place as lead girl. The clothes are all simple but elegant, and all follow the blue theme, which makes them seem united. Throughout all the stills as well, they're all wearing different shades of blue.


Ew, wolves. Really not my thing, if i'm honest. Except Paul. I like Paul. But anyway, i feel in some ways the eclipse poster has evolved more for the wolves than it has for the Cullens. It follows the same color scheme though (blue, with hints of green), and all the wolves show equal expressions. There has also been two editions to the eclipse poster - Leah, who has a very bold entrance, right at the front of the poster, and, if you squint, you can see Quil in the background. As everyone has been saying straight after this poster came out, WHERE IS SETH? You all have to remember though that one, Seth is thirteen, and not likely to be featured in a poster of basically grown men. Two, it's another person to fit into a poster that's already pretty full up. And three, Summit have to keep some things to themselves, and it seems they've chosen to hide Seth. Enjoy the anticipation! Don't, however, enjoy Jacob's shirt. Because it's gross.

As for Leah being at the front, i guess it's just to get some versatility into the poster. In they stuck her in the middle, i think it would look slightly strange, so they've chosen to put her at the side. Despite what many people have said, i really doubt it's because of her... female assets.


Now onto the Volturi. I love love LOVE the new moon poster, however i think the eclipse one is slightly predictable. I think it's again far too blue, as they're supposed the way black and grey, not navy, and i don't like the rain behind them.. lightning would be more appropriate in my eyes. To me, it just looks like they're in Seattle, like on the released clip. However i do like the expression, especially Jane's and i like that they are looking down on us, so i think the camera angle is very clever. We can see clearly that Aro, Caius and Marcus are not present in the eclipse poster, which is understandable, but a shame all the same.
